This page is dedicated to my alternate personality, Ms. Culver...
Well, I can hardly believe it, but the year is almost over. Here are some pictures from some of the last events of the year!

Sterling Large Group Festival
I took two groups to the Sterling Large Group Festival, my high school band and the Impressions vocal group. We worked up a few pieces for each group and then traveled to Sterling, CO where judges gave each of our performances a rating of I (superior) through V (poor). The choir recieved a I overall and the Band received a III overall. I was extremely proud of all the students.
Super Diva
This is one of my students. She is extremely talented and never shys away from attention, as you can probably tell.
Adams State College Honor Choir
Here are four of my students who made the Adams State College Honor Choir. They auditioned by tape and where chosen to participate. We went down to Alamosa, CO for a two days of rehearsal and then two concerts. It was a great experience for all.
Safari?
This is Sand Dunes National Monument. Alamosa is in an alpine valley at about 7,000 feet in elevation and surrounded by 14,000 foot peaks. The wind blows sand from the Rio Grande river bed across the valley and against the foot of one of the mountains and creates huge 700 foot sand dunes.
Ms. Culver at Sand Dunes National Monument
It was unbelievable cold out on the dunes. The wind was freezing and blowing really hard. But...it was still really cool!
WOW!
Getting ready to say goodbye!
This is how my very first band room looked when I first saw it and now I am getting ready to say goodbye! The last day of school is May 18th and then the graduation ceremony is on May 22nd. After that it's the long road back to North Carolina!
